Cultural Heritage Preparedness in the Nordics and the Baltic´s

Hanaholmen, together with the Nordic Council of Ministers, has launched a new Nordic–Baltic program dedicated to heritage preparedness.

The program, which goes under the name "Hanaholmen Heritage - Nordic-Baltic Cooperation for Cultural Heritage and Preparedness", gathers experts from several countries for a yearly training program and a high-level forum.

The inspiration for the new cultural heritage program comes from the Hanaholmen initiative, the Swedish-Finnish crisis preparedness program, which has brought together Finnish and Swedish crisis preparedness experts since 2021 to learn from each other and to strengthen cooperation between Finland and Sweden before and during civil crises.
