Comprehensive security best practices: How can the EU and NATO work better together?
The development of a more robust European and transatlantic defence posture goes hand in hand with a culture of comprehensive security and preparedness. This requires a multidisciplinary approach to security that cuts across silos and incorporates everyone from society to business to national stakeholders and international institutions.

In the context of new politico-institutional cycle of the EU and considering President Niinistö’s report on EU civil and military preparedness, the objective of the event is to approach security in the broadest sense of the word, encompassing a full spectrum of threats involving military contingencies, hybrid threats and natural disasters.
This hybrid Conference will share best practice examples by bringing the perspectives of Estonian, Finnish and Swedish agencies, representatives of the EU, NATO and the academia.
This event is organised jointly by three entities, including the EPC, Elisabeth Rehn - Bank of Ideas, and Hanaholmen – Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre.
Participation is open to EPC members, the contacts of Elisabeth Rehn - Bank of Ideas as well as Hanaholmen – Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre, the media, the EU and NATO.
