EnglishAcademic freedom and the freedom of science are at the heart of a growing global conversation about the conditions needed for independent research, open inquiry and evidence-based knowledge to thrive. Against a backdrop of increasing pressures on academic institutions and researchers, what can we learn from Nordic experiences and what role can the Nordic countries play in shaping the future of academic freedom?
Bringing together Nordic perspectives from research, science policy and public administration, the event will explore the challenges facing academic freedom today and how we can strengthen the conditions for free and independent science in the years ahead.
