Save the date for Arts for Health Seminar!

Hospitals have become significant places for art displays, while the presence of art plays an important part for health and wellbeing.  The Art Committee at HUS Helsinki University Hospital together with Hanaholmen Cultural Centre and the Swedish-Finnish Cultural Foundation will host the first Nordic-Baltic Seminar on Art in Hospitals this November.  Mark your calendar for the seminar now!

The goal of the seminar is to share knowledge on art in hospital environments and launch a network for professionals working at the intersection of healthcare and art in Finland, the Nordic and Baltic countries. The seminar is aimed for healthcare professionals, art and culture specialists and anyone interested in the topic.  Participation is free of charge. Monday 18 November

6 PM Informal get-together, Hanaholmen Cultural Centre
7:30 PM Dinner (price 35 €), Hanaholmen restaurant Plats

Tuesday 19 November

10–12:30 AM Seminar, Hanaholmen
12:30–1:30 PM Lunch (price 25 €)
1:30–5 PM Seminar continues
5:30 PM Bus transfer from Hanaholmen to Kunsthalle Helsinki
6 PM Visit at the HUS Helsinki University Hospital art exhibition at the Helsinki Kunsthalle 

Wednesday 20 November

9 AM Bus transfer from Hanaholmen to the Orton Hospital in Helsinki
9:30 AM – 1 PM Visit at the art works at Orton and Helsinki University hospitals
1 PM Farewell lunch at the hospital restaurant

Accommodation

A quota of rooms is reserved at the Hanaholmen Conference hotel at a special discounted price for the seminar participants. Single room € 128/night and double room € 148/night.
